JDC was chosen by Turner Construction Boston and Boston Properties to perform the complete demolition of a 75,000 SF steel framed office building in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The scope of work included an enabling package which included utility terminations, temporary fencing, installation of jersey barriers, electric duct bank relocations, tree removal, temporary paving, temporary construction signage, and intersection reconstruction to allow the construction of the future high rise. Work also include pre-demolition of the interior finishes of the structure to allow for the asbestos abatement of the duct work within the building. The project was safely and successfully finished within the aggressive seven week schedule.
