JDC was contracted through the Richmond Group of Hopkinton, MA to perform the complete demolition of three structures consisting which once made up Boston Woven Hose and Rubber Company in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Work included separation of the structures from an active cinema which remained active during demolition operations including protection of the Cinemas transformer which was less than 5 feet away from the structure scheduled for demolition. JDC also successfully separated, hoisted and removed a utility bridge over Binney Street which connected the buildings to be demolished from an active office building. Other work included site demolition and backfilling of the building's basements with approved fill materials to support the future earth support operations.
