JDC was contracted by the Lee Kennedy Company to perform the interior demolition of 30,000 SF of existing office space in Boston’s upcoming Seaport District of Boston. This demolition scope will enable ADA compliance upgrades and mechanical upgrades within the existing structure. JDC’s scope of work included the complete removal of the first floor framing system to lowered the first floor elevation to the existing sidewalk grade. JDC worked with the Lee Kennedy Company to remove the first floor framing in phases so that elaborate shoring was not required in the removal process. JDC successfully salvaged the south yellow pine beams generated from the first floor demolition for future reuse.
