JDC Demolition was contracted to demolish the crematory addition in advance of the renovation and expansion of the historic Bigelow Chapel at the Mount Auburn Cemetery. JDC’s work consisted of the separation and demolition of the existing crematory addition and the selective demolition of the retorts in the Bigelow Chapel basement. This work was conducted while minimizing disruptions to the surrounding cemetery.
