Designed and constructed in 1898, the Southwest Pavilion Building had fallen into disrepair and no longer suited the needs of a modern medical facility. JDC Demolition was hired to dismantle this historic 6 story building located in the center of the Rhode Island Hospital campus. Utilizing a high reach excavator, the building was carefully dismantled while maintaining the active basement utility corridor beneath the structure and not disrupting ongoing hospital operations.
