JDC was contracted to perform structural demolition of the Bishop Wright Building. This included separating this structure from the existing Rose Building, which is the only structure remaining of the former hospital complex. Demolition operations included razing the below-grade radiology/MRI bunkers located at the north end of the structure, which were over 5’ thick of heavily re-in forced concrete. Challenges associated with this project included bulk loading the ACM-coated concrete along the entire façade of this 4-story structure. JDC crushed and re-utilized all remaining masonry demolition debris as backfill at the site under the guidelines of a BUD, issued by MADEP. JDC also decommissioned and removed a 15,000 gal. UST at the former generator building.
