JDC Demolition was contracted by Cranshaw Construction and National Development to perform the complete demolition of the club house, indoor tennis courts and athletic facility located in Watertown, Massachusetts. Worked included the abatement and complete demolition of the 70,000 SF facility, termination of utilities, site demolition, clearing and grubbing of the site, and removal of foundations. Due to an asbestos damproofing mastic located on the building slabs, JDC worked with the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection and the project consultant to write a non-traditional work plan to enable heavy equipment to remove the foundations systems by heavy equipment without the need to provide traditional abatement means.
